A Schedule of OPPC Upcoming Photo Exhibits

(1) The next Oak Park Photo Club Exhibit will be in the main branch of the Oak Park Public Library in September 2012.

Prints are to be submitted at the last meeting in August (August 27, 2012).

The standard frame will be used (frame equal to Nielson style 15 in matte black, 16x20 inch.).

Use of either a neutral white mat or a black mat is acceptable for your picture.

There is no theme.

The Frame Warehouse knows the frame we use and will give you a discount if you tell them you are from the Oak Park Photo Club. Contact Debby Preiser

(2) In October we will be displaying pictures in the River Forest Public Library. This will be a small space, and pictures do not need to be the standard size or frame. because of the short time between shows, someone can display the same picture in both shows.

(3) In December we will be again doing a show at the Oak Park Arms. There will be a gallery show, which like the River Forest Library will not need to be the standard size or frame. However, do not exceed 16X20. As usual, there will be a reception and a “table top” display and sale.

Time: Bring prints and finger food between 12:00 and 12:45 PM.
Reception :1:00 to 4:00 PM.
Take prints home :starting at 4:01 PM.

Mount/Frame:
Prints can be mounted on a foam core board (no larger that 12X16) or in a very lightweight frame (frame no larger than 11X14). The mount we used for the show at the Trailside Museum would be fine (note: they were 11X14; maximum size for this show is 12X16).
If a frame is used, it must be very light. At the last meeting Norma showed the group a suitable frame. Available at Walgreens, we will post a picture of the packaged frame on the Yahoo Group. The one she showed was 11 X 14, black plastic, with a very thin profile. It is available at Walgreens and samples will be available at the April 12 mtg.

A label for your print should include your name, print title, and price if for sale. Label size should be like a standard business card, 2 X 3.5 in.

If you cannot make a label yourself, see the poll to be posted re this show at the Yahoo group site) and respond accordingly.

Community standards apply.

Prints can be offered for sale and all proceeds go to the photographer.

Wine and Coffee will be provided by the Arms. Bring finger food and byob if you like.
