Arms Narrow Gallery Show and Photographic Arts Sale

Prints will be collected during November Club meetings (November 11 or November 25). If you cannot be at either meeting you must make other arrangements to deliver your print before the Show hanging date (Thursday, December, 5).

Guidelines for participation in the Arms Narrow Gallery Show and the Photographic Arts exhibit and sale:

a) Gallery Show: There is no theme for this show. Prints can be framed or mounted appropriately for hanging and should be no larger than 16x20 in. Prints for this show should be brought to the November club meetings (November 11 or November 25). All prints should be clearly labeled on the back with the photographer’s name, contact information, print title, and sale price.

b) Photographic Arts Exhibit and Sale: Those club members planning to participate in the Photographic Arts exhibit and sale should bring their materials for tabletop display with them on December 8. Items for display and sale are not restricted to prints but may include any type of photographic art. Prints framed or unframed, matted or not should not exceed 12x16 in. for tabletop display.

Member Henry Berry has Oak Park Library Exhibit opening in May

Henry’s photo exhibit ‘photographs by Henry Berry’ opens May 1st 2013 at the Main Branch of the Oak Park Library in the second floor gallery. The show runs through the month of May.

The opening reception, for the show, is from 2-4 pm on Saturday May 4th.

Member Exhibits Jan. - March 2013

Member Henry Berry has a photo show at the Oak Park Library - Maze Branch, 845 Gunderson, OP, IL. The Show runs March 2nd - March 30th. Opening Reception; Artist On the Spot Interview on Saturday, March 9th, 1-2pm.

Member Nancy Ortenberg’s show on the Blues "The Blues Highway: From Mississippi to Chicago". runs through the month of February at the Main Branch of the Oak Park Library - 2nd floor Art Gallery. Opening Reception Feb. 10 from 2-5 p.m.

Henry Berry on "Landscapes and Relics"

Member Henry Berry Exhibits his photography along with artist and former president of the Oak Park Art League Ken Reif, artist Amani Borah and artist Faith Humphrey-Hill.

This Exhibit is presented by the Oak Park Art League July 1- through Sept. 4, 2012

At Prairie Title 6821 W. North Avenue in Oak Park

Opening Reception is on Thursday, July 19, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Henry Berry's One Person Show at 'The Beetle'

Club Member Henry Berry has a one person show opening at The Beetle, 2532 West Chicago on Tuesday July 26th at 7 PM. The show encompasses 11 B&W prints. Stop by and have a glass of you favorite brew and say hi.

Henry will be there untill 9 or so.

"It Had To Be You" exhibit

Five volunteer photographers have taken photos of 32 animal owners and their beloved pets over the past six months. In addition to the photos, the owners have written essays about those wonderful relationships with their dogs and cats.

OPPC members Jonathan Miller, Henry Berry, and Debby Preiser are among the five photographers featured. The exhibit is hanging during the month of February in the Main Branch of the Oak Park Public Library 2nd floor Gallery. A Beautiful and poignant look at the relationship between Humans and their pets.

The opening of the opening of the Animal Care League exhibit is Sunday Feb. 13th 3-5 p.m. in the 2nd floor gallery. There will be treats and music.

John Fjortoft Exhibit at the Forest Park National Bank thru Feb.

Street Photographer and photo club member, John Fjortoft will be showing his Street Photography at the Forest Park National Bank 7348 W. Madison - in Forest Park.

John is a self taught photographer who finds his passion in photographing the everyday drama of people in place. He looks for amazing light to surround or highlight his compositions, as well as a wonderful story that unfolds uniquely to each viewer.

The exhibit runs through the months of Jan. and February. This Exhibit is sponsored by the Oak Park Area Arts Council and the Forest Bark National Bank. Show Opens: Sept. 5 and runs thru October 3
Opening Reception: Sept. 5 from 7-9 pm

The Art League takes 35% of the price of any work that is sold
The entry fee if any, has not been determined for this show. It won’t exceed $5 per photo exhibited.
No theme, mat or frame restrictions

Garden Club to Host Garden Photography Exhibit June 2-3 at Oak Park Conservatory

Contact- Debby Preiser Garden Club to Host Garden Photography Exhibit June 2-3 at Oak Park Conservatory

In celebration of the 90th Anniversary of the Garden Club of Oak Park & River Forest, the Garden Club will host a Standard Flower Show at the Oak Park Conservatory, 615 Garfield (at East Avenue ) on Saturday and Sunday, June 2-3, 2007 .
Hours Saturday June 2 are 2:00 - 4:30
Hours Sunday June 3 are 10:00 - 4:00

In addition to flower and tabletop displays, the Garden Club will have a Photography Show titled � It�s A Wonderful World� on display during the Flower Show at the Conservatory. Flowers will reflect the colors of the rainbow.  Photographs must be in color with total image size measuring 8 x 10 inches (vertical or horizontal). Ribbons will be awarded by judges to photos in each of the seven categories.
